The principal activities of the organisation during the financial year were those of a charity whose purpose is to advance the social and public welfare by developing clean and safe water supplies in developing nations, providing education on water resources and supply management to communities, empowering them to develop sustainable water supply systems, grow food and enhance health outcomes while improving opportunities for disadvantaged people, especially women and girls in developing countries to obtain an education by relieving them of the constant burden of daily water carrying. This goal was achieved during the year with community water schemes being delivered and approved in eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) including the Manyalane community water scheme, the Mganti Siphocosini water scheme and the Hawawe Schools water supply as an extension to the previous Hawawe community water scheme.

International Activities

Funds raised by MOSS Foundation will purchase water tanks, pumps, piping and related hardware. The Moss Foundation Africa Team (Eswatini registered not for profit) supplies MOSS with fully costed project options and our Australian based management group selects those which will have the greatest impact per dollar. We appraise all water scheme requests, then surveys the relative needs of the community. Since 2016 MOSS Deck Art Shows have turned art into clean water – and the MOSS Foundation Africa team have installed life changing permanent clean water supplies for: 10,300 people 8 schools 4 orphan care points with: 77 tanks 460 taps 17 dams 77,900 metres of hand dug trenches.
