National Evangelisation Teams (NET) Ministries is a Catholic, for purpose, peer to peer youth ministry that puts into action the Church’s mission to evangelise and disciple young people. We do this by: Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a personal witness of faith Inviting young people to live for Christ Forming young people in Christian character through the study and practice of our faith Equipping young adults with the ministry skills needed for evangelising and discipling young people Our vision is that we would transform young peoples lives so that they can transform the world. Every year our 4050 full time volunteers are placed in 3 different missions and different teams and reach out to 30,000 young people through various evangelisation events. These young people are encouraged to love Jesus and embrace the Church. But over the years we have seen that the impact we make is not just with the young people that we minister to, but also in the lives of our fulltime ‘peer with peer’ volunteers. These volunteers often describe their time with us as inspiring and transformative and it is these volunteers who have developed their natural leadership talents with us and then go on to make an incredible impact on their local communities (and beyond) when they return to them. Our teams work in three different mission contexts: 1. Encounter Mission Teams these teams primary mission is evangelisation through facilitating oneday retreats for Catholic school students 2. Mary of the Cross (MX) Mission Teams these teams are focused on one community, school or parish. Their mission is both evangelisation and discipleship of young people. 3. Francis Xavier (FX) Mission Teams these teams reach out to university students and create a space where they are welcomed, accompanied on their journey of faith and equipped to engage the Church and the world as Christian leaders. The FX Mission teams work in conjunction with the Catholic University Chaplaincy/Campus Ministry as an expression of its commitment to evangelisation, discipleship and ministry formation. In our 36 year history we have reached out to more than 750,000+ young people through almost 1000 full time volunteers. Your support for this ministry ensures that we have the resources that we need to continue to transform the lives of young Australians so that they can rise up in this generation and make meaningful change in our world.
